Turning Setbacks Into Comebacks
I want to show others who are disabled that you can live joyful, creative, and expressive lives despite your disability. I demonstrate directly that mental or physical challenges need not limit a person’s passion for living.

Talking to Siblings of Disabled Children
After a fairly normal pregnancy, it turns out that your daughter was born with a birth injury that will change how the whole family operates. Not only is there shock and potential concern on the part of you and your spouse, but you also have to help your son adjust to the situation. What do you do?

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
It is estimated that Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) affects about 1 in 5,000 persons worldwide. This inherited disorder results in the abnormal development of collagen that affects the joints and skin in varying degrees that range from mild symptoms to critical complications.

The Universe is Accessible
There is absolutely nothing that should or could keep an inquisitive person from achieving his dreams or reaching the stars, so to speak. Whether astronomy is a hobby or a career choice, reach out and take advantage of the many resources available to everyone.

Connecting the Dots in Delaware
Since 2009, the University of Delaware Center for Disabilities Studies and Delaware Family Voices have published a comprehensive guide to services for those with disabilities and special needs in the state of Delaware. The booklet helps those with special needs navigate state resources.

AgrAbility Helps Disabled Farmers
Over 160,000 persons with disabilities work in agriculture and industries related to the field. Those farmers and ranchers form an integral part of the cultivation of essential products derived from America’s heartland.
